I hadn't visited Disneyland in a while... and had never been to Disney California Adventure... so I was really excited to go during the VidCon weekend! I was shaking from excitement, like a new born, excited, baby chihuahua.
Disneyland was great as always! The weather was a bit warm, uncomfortable at times, but I managed to ignore that and have a great time. My favorite ride there was "Star Tours". I've never watched any of the Star Wars movies, but that ride was incredible. I wanted to stay on it forever...and ever.
Disney California Adventure was very also great! I am a BIG "The Little Mermaid" fan, so I was really looking forward to finally riding the "The Little Mermaid" ride. and I did go on it...three times. I kind of teared up at the end of it. I've been a fan of "Mermaid" since I was a kid, and getting to ride that ride felt awesome!
This trip to Disneyland was great! I'll be visiting again soon because... well, I bought an annual pass. Best purchase I've ever made. ;)
Last year I attended my first VidCon! VidCon is a convention for video makers, viewers, and pretty much anyone who is interested in the online world...mainly YouTube....and I love it.
Last year I got to meet some of my favorite YouTubers! This year VidCon was from June 28th-30th. It had a lot more people, panels, and booths. It was a little more difficult to meet "big" YouTubers, so I decided to make this year's VidCon a bit different for myself. I decided I was going to try and meet as many people as I could...and I did! I met a lot of people, even if they are not "big" YouTubers... and I was ok with that! I still met ShayCarl and Katilette, ran into iJustine and Jenna Ezarik (in the elevator haha) and the two piece band, Terabrite.
VidCon was held at in Anaheim, California. At the Anaheim Convention Center. I live in the Los Angeles area, so there wasn't much traveling, but I did stay at the Anaheim Hilton hotel for a couple of nights. The lobby was very loud (probably due to many YouTubers being there) but my room was pretty peaceful and enjoyed my stay there.
For the last night, I decided to stay at the Clarion Hotel. I also enjoyed my stay there, even if it was a bit further away from the convention center. That's ok, I like walking.
Being surrounded by people who make and watch videos felt awesome! I feel like I have definitely have come out of my shell and not be so awkward thanks to VidCon, and that feels great! I can't wait for next year's VidCon! I will be the first person in line! or second... or third... who knows. :)
Oh, there was also a VidCon Disney day! That was another awesome day to the VidCon weekend. WOOHOO VidCon. :)
I haven't made a blog post here in a while.... Feels weird to actually type instead talking to a camera.
This year has been pretty awesome! I had the opportunity to go to Orlando in late March, and it was pretty cool. I went there for a YouTube event called Play List Live. I hadn't been on a plane in a while, so I was a little nervous... especially because I was going by myself. It had been a while since I traveled far away from home, but as nervous as I was, I was more excited and happy about visiting Orlando.
The plane ride went great! Except that I really had to go pee pee... and I had a window seat...so I had to hold it. Not fun. As soon as I landed, I made my way to "The Magic of Disney" store. I didn't buy anything, but it was fun to be in there for some reason.
I stayed at The Buena Vista Palace Hotel & Spa because that's where Play List Live was being held, and I was very amazed at the hotel. It looked great inside and out, but I was even more amazed because there was a Disney Store inside! Everything about the hotel was great. I stayed there for 3 nights and all the employees were very nice, the room was clean, and did I mention there was a Disney Store inside the hotel?!!!? Oh, and I could see the Disney World fireworks from my balcony!
Now let's get into Play-List Live!!!! This was my third YouTube gathering. I wasn't as nervous as I thought I would be, but I did get a little shaky at times. Pretty sure I was still somewhat awkward. I met (or re-met since I had met some of these people before) a lot of cool Youtubers like: iJustine, ShayCarl and Katilette, DailyGrace, and a lot more!
The event was great! It felt great being in a hotel full of people I watch on the internet. Sounds weird, but it felt great.
I also visited Downtown Disney on my last day. I wanted to visit Disney World, but I didn't because I was very tired...plus, The Little Mermaid Ride isn't finished yet... maybe next year?
The Orlando airport (MCO)is very Disney-fied...and I like it.
My Visit to Orlando was great! I felt proud of myself for being there and I can't wait to visit again next year! WOOT.
